Descendants of WWI diggers, who still live near where their parents, grandparents or great grandparents settled at the end of the war, share their memories of their ancestors and the family stories that have been passed down the generations.
Participants were asked to share an item/object that reminds them of their ancestor. This is the artefact that tells us about the past lives of these people who have now passed on.
Family descendants also posed for a photographic environmental portrait to accompany their recorded stories.
The aim is to bring the memories of these important Australians to life through the stories their descendants can tell us of life after the war, anecdotes of their lives and how their families remember them.
